Begin Forever is India's first 100% ID-verified matrimony platform, open to members of all faiths — Christian, Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Jain, Buddhist, and others. This Privacy Policy applies equally to all members regardless of religion, denomination, or background.
1. Introduction
Begin Forever ("we", "our", "us"), a brand of Kyomi, based in Pune, Maharashtra, India, is deeply committed to protecting the privacy and dignity of every member on our platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you use our platform at beginforever.in and beginforever.app (collectively, the "Platform").
By registering on Begin Forever, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Personal Information You Provide
- Account Information: Full name, email address, phone number, age, gender, and password when you register.
- Faith & Profile Information: Religion, denomination (if applicable), city, state, education, occupation, marital status, mother tongue, height, bio, and partner preferences. Faith information is collected to enable faith-based filtering — it is always treated as sensitive data.
- Photos: Profile photos you upload. All photos are stored securely and only shown to verified, approved members.
- Communication Data: Messages exchanged through our in-app messaging system. These are private and only accessible to the sender and recipient.
- Verification Data: Government-issued ID documents (Aadhaar, PAN, Voter ID, etc.) submitted for identity verification. ID documents are stored separately, encrypted, and are never shown to other members under any circumstances.
- Faith Preference Settings: Your browsing preferences and receive-interest preferences, which control which faith groups appear in your discovery feed and who can send you interest requests. These are user-controlled and can be updated at any time.

- Usage data (pages visited, features used, session duration)

3. How We Use Your Information
- To create, verify, and manage your account and profile
- To match you with compatible profiles based on your stated preferences (including faith preferences)
- To verify your identity and ensure the safety and integrity of the Platform
- To enable secure, private communication between mutually interested members
- To send platform notifications (new interests, messages, profile views)
- To send transactional emails (registration confirmation, account updates)
- To prevent fraud, abuse, impersonation, and ensure community safety
- To improve our platform, fix bugs, and develop new features

4. Faith & Religion Data — Special Category
Religion and denomination information is classified as sensitive personal data under the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011. We handle this data with the highest level of care:
- Religion/faith data is used solely for the purpose of enabling faith-based filtering as chosen by you.
- Your faith is displayed on your profile only to other verified, approved members.

- You may choose not to display your denomination while keeping your religion visible.
- Your faith preference settings (who you browse and who can contact you) are entirely within your control and can be updated at any time in your profile settings.
- Begin Forever does not discriminate against any member on the basis of their religion, denomination, or faith background.
5. Photo Privacy
- Profile photos are only visible to verified, approved members of the Platform.
- Photos are stored on secure cloud infrastructure and are not accessible publicly via search engines or unauthenticated URLs.
- Photos are never shared with any third party or used for any purpose other than your matrimony profile.
- You can delete your photos at any time from your profile settings.
- Downloading, screenshotting, or redistribution of another member's photos is strictly prohibited and constitutes a violation of our Terms of Service.
6. Government ID Verification Data
- ID documents are collected solely for the purpose of identity verification and are reviewed only by authorised Begin Forever administrators.
- ID documents are stored in a separate, encrypted storage bucket isolated from your public profile data.
- ID documents are never displayed to other members, shared with third parties, or used for any purpose beyond verification.
- Once your profile is verified, your ID document is retained for legal compliance and fraud prevention purposes for a period of 2 years, after which it is securely deleted.
7. Information Sharing
We do not sell, trade, rent, or exchange your personal information. We may share limited data only in these circumstances:
- With Other Members: Your approved profile information (name, age, city, religion, photos, bio) is visible to verified members for matchmaking purposes.
- Service Providers: Trusted infrastructure providers (Supabase for database and storage, Brevo for transactional email) operate under strict data processing agreements and handle only the minimum data necessary.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by Indian law, a court order, or a lawful request from a government authority.
- Safety & Security: We may share information to prevent imminent harm, investigate fraud, or protect the safety of our members or the public.
8. Data Security
- All data transmission uses SSL/TLS encryption (HTTPS)
- Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text
- Row-level security (RLS) policies ensure each user can only access their own data
- ID documents stored in isolated, access-controlled storage separate from profile data
- Regular security reviews and access audits
- Minimum-access privilege principle for all internal team access
9. Your Rights
As a member of Begin Forever, you have the right to:
- Access: View all personal information we hold about you via your profile
- Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information at any time
- Deletion: Request permanent deletion of your account and all associated data
- Portability: Request a copy of your data in a portable format (JSON/CSV)
- Withdrawal of Consent: Withdraw consent for data processing at any time by deleting your account
- Opt-Out: Opt out of non-transactional communications at any time
- Grievance: Lodge a complaint with us directly at info@beginforever.in. We will respond within 7 working days.
10. Data Retention
- Active account data is retained for the duration your account is active.
- Upon account deletion, personal profile data is deleted within 30 days.
- ID verification documents are retained for 2 years post-deletion for legal and fraud prevention purposes, then securely destroyed.
- Message data between members is deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
- Waitlist data is retained until you create a full account or request removal.
11. Children's Privacy
Begin Forever is strictly for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If we discover that a person under 18 has registered, their account will be immediately suspended and their data deleted.
12. Cookies
We use only essential cookies to maintain your authenticated session. We do not use advertising, tracking, or third-party analytics cookies. You may disable cookies in your browser, but this will prevent you from logging into the Platform.
13. Third-Party Links
Our Platform may contain links to external websites (e.g. pricing pages, payment gateways). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites and encourage you to review their privacy policies independently.
