Meeting in Person
- Always meet in a public place for the first few meetings
- Tell a family member or friend where you're going and who you're meeting
- Arrange your own transportation — don't depend on the other person
- Consider bringing a family member along for the first meeting
- Don't consume alcohol or anything that impairs your judgement
Red Flags to Watch For
- Asking for money or financial help
- Refusing to video call or meet in person after extended messaging
- Pressuring you to move communication off the platform
- Inconsistent stories about their life, family, or background
- Pressuring you for personal photos or inappropriate content
- Making you feel uncomfortable or guilty
- Asking you to keep the relationship a secret from your family

If you encounter any suspicious behaviour, harassment, or feel unsafe:
